Priority Project: Completion of
LA Community Library and Resource Center
Our Mission
Lutino Adunu (registered Ugandan non-profit ID# CDR/15/049)
is committed to improving lives and empowering the impoverished, post-war/HIV AIDS infected Nwoya district community in Northern Uganda. Our primary focus is to renew and restore sustainable living and educational opportunities for all ages, offering communities the resources to improve their lives and become self-reliant.
WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT
Women’s Empowerment training, Micro-financing and Food Security education aims to bridge the gap for rebuilding and renewing economic status for women in Nwoya district, Northern Uganda.
FOOD SECURITY
“Stunting” is a term referring to the impaired growth and development of a child under the age of 5, generally due to malnutrition, repeated infections, and/or poor psychosocial interaction. Nwoya district is reported to be among those with the highest percentages: 22.9% – 40.6%. To help combat this, Lutino Adunu offers training on solar food dehydration practices and has engaged partners and stakeholders in drafting possible solutions to address this challenge. Stunting is irreversible and prevents children from reaching their full potential.
CHILDREN’S EDUCATION
Lutino Adunu’s Educational Scholarship/Sponsorship Program supports children’s education with a focus on child sponsorship, financial support for school fees, feminine health and hygiene education, as well as community education emphasizing the value and importance of supporting girls in school.
